Terms of Service
Last updated · May 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or running any lab on Cracked SWE (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Account
You need a valid email and a unique Clerk-managed account to use the paid pathway. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. Don't share your account; one human per account.
3. Subscriptions and billing
The Service is offered on a recurring subscription basis (currently Pro at $29/month and Founding at $19/month, with the Founding cohort limited to the first 100 subscribers). Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card is charged on the cadence shown at checkout. You can cancel any time from the Customer Portal; cancellation stops future renewals and leaves your current paid period intact.
3a. Refunds
Because the Service delivers immediate, irrevocable access to digital content and live sandbox infrastructure, all sales are final. Refunds are issued only where required by applicable law, in cases of duplicate charges or unauthorized transactions, or where a documented platform failure prevented you from accessing the Service. Email hello@crackedswe.io to open a refund request; we review every one individually.
4. Acceptable use
Labs run inside short-lived Linux microVMs provisioned for your session. You agree not to:
- Use the sandbox to attack other systems, mine cryptocurrency, or run unrelated workloads.
- Attempt to escape the sandbox or escalate privileges on shared infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute lab content or graders.
- Share account credentials, lab solutions, or grader internals publicly.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
Lab content, scoring rubrics, marketing copy, and the platform itself are owned by Cracked SWE. You retain ownership of code you write during labs. By submitting code to our grader, you grant us a non-exclusive license to execute it inside our sandbox for the sole purpose of grading.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Sandbox availability depends on upstream providers (E2B, Vercel, Upstash, Stripe, Clerk).
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cracked SWE's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You can delete your account any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these Terms with notice where practical.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site and by email at least seven days before they take effect.
